Casey's Beach Birthday!

Casey wanted to have a beach birthday, so we decided to invite a few of her friends and we went to Salmon Creek.

The had fun, but the water is SOOO cold!

They found out about the little creatures that live in the sand,
imagine the girls screaming over bugs!

Casey and Ashley found a big stick in the sand.

Drawing on the beach was challenging, but lots of fun!

The sun came out enough to warm it up so they could tan!

We saw a guy riding his horse on the beach!
This would be so much fun! I just want the
weather to be a little bit warmer!

You can't go the the ocean without stopping at a local
shop and buying salt water taffy!

"A peace of sand"

Overall, it was a great time, I just wish the wind wouldn't have
picked up, it got so cold, so fast!

2 Peas challenge post

One of my most favorite things about Spring is the beautiful trees and flowers that bloom. Everything is fresh and green. The sky seems bluer than any other time of the year, I can't help but take pictures...soon the blooms will fade and the next season will arrive.

What Casey wants for her birthday!

Okay, so this is what Casey wants for her birthday! A Yorkshire Terrier! Isn't it the cutest ever. Problem is they cost a lot of money, but I might have a contact where I can get it for less. That would be sooooooooo cool!

I think Heather loved her cake! Brandi made it for her during her free 4th period at school, how cool is that? Casey icing it and decorated it with DINOSAURS cause Heathers old like that!

We went shopping for her present!

This is the kitty she got! It's name is Casey, but I think Heather is gonna change it, I wonder why?

Heathers 19th Birthday

What do you get a 19 year old that really doesn't want anything? Well, Heather decided she wants a kitten! That's so cute! It's a great idea for her to have something of her own.

For her birthday I was gonna pick up a cake today, but Brandi came up with something better. She informed me that she has a free period and she wants to make Heather a birthday cake in Ms Smiths home ec room! That is so sweet! Since Brandi doesn't get home until 11 pm cause it's hell week, I think that was her way of really be part of Heathers Day! Casey is gonna frost it when we get home, so she gets to be part of the cake adventure as well.

Weekend Gettaway

We spent the weekend at Reno, Nevada! Our mini vacation was provided by our daughters as a Christmas present! We took two days off of work and headed to see Brooks and Dunn on Thursday night, followed by the Underground Magic show on friday. On Saturday we went to see Aida, and Saturday night I took my friend from Reno, Susan, to see the Twelve Irish Tenors. It was a fabulous weekend. We stayed at our condo we have up there and I scrapbooked a little while my husband played some poker. He did very well, won more than we spent! Gotta love that! Free Vacation!

Thanks Casey for thinking of it, and thanks Brandi and Heather for pitching in! It was an awesome present!

Busy busy, especially just getting back from Reno! More on that tomorrow!

A vacation mishap

I finally got mostly caught up at work, not so overwhelmed but still a lot to do, but my scrap room is almost clean. I spent weeks procrastinating and finally forced myself to get in there. I'm really happy with how it's worked out. I'll post pictures soon so you can see it (clean).

Here's the latest on my parents 50th wedding anniversary and the vacation with my brother Bill:
My brother goes with them to Nascar (you have to buy tickets a year in advance). My parents are caravaning with some other motor homes and decide to leave a few days early so they can go to the Grand Canyon. They arrived late Sunday night. On Monday morning, my brother went outside to have a cup of coffee. He said he started to feel punky and went back inside, suddenly he started getting severe pain in his chest. They took him to the medical clinic at the Park, X-Rays revealed his lung collapsed. He had to be taken by ambulance 80 miles to a hospital in Flagstaff Arizona where he spent a whole 24 hours in the emergency room. They inserted a tube in his chest for the collapsed lung to refill. To make a long story a little shorter, the lung hasn't responded and they've admitted him into a room. They are meeting with the doctor to see what their options are. For those of you that know me, I am a control freak and I have always been the one to take care of family. This is really hard that he is so far away (14 hours driving) and I can't be there. I know how much he wants to go to see Nascar (racing is his life). It's gonna stink if they have to operate on him, it's bothering the heck out of me cause I'm the one who's usually the one people depend on. Urgh! Please send some healthy healing thoughts toward my brother.
